The course is specifically and strategically designed to assist the local church in utilising the skills, expertise and resources of professionals, lay people, community service providers, institutions of higher learning and businesses in order to develop a self-sustainable, easily accessible, professional, volunteer-driven, partner-intensive and integrated local churched based Counselling Ministry within the local community. The previous course focused explicitly on preaching. Preaching is indeed one of the most important but also most challenging ministries in the Church. This new course will focus on more. Preaching takes place in worship services. The purpose of this new course is to train and motivate pastors to appreciate and understand worship, lead worship and to communicate more effectively when preaching the Gospel in the Southern African context. The purpose of this seminar is to equip pastors and counsellors to be able to understand and support and guide people who have been through sexual abuse, abortion (miscarriage/stillbirth) or who are addicted to sex or pornography (including cybersex addiction).
