The Spanish Junior Open is open to all players under the age of 13, 15, 17, and 19, on
the 13st march 2016, as appropriate. Players are only allowed to enter one category.

4. SCORING: PAR 11 scoring (to 2 clear points), best of five games, will be used.
All players will be guaranteed of three scheduled matches.
5. MATCHES
All matches will be played as best of five games with PAR 11 scoring to 2 clear
points.
All players will be guaranteed a minimum of three scheduled matches.
All positions in the categories will be played out.
ESF approved balls will be used in all matches.
All players will be expected to mark and referee matches.
Wearing of approved eye protection on court is mandatory at all time. Players will
not be allowed to compete without approved eye protection.

3. INSURANCE: The organisation and/or centre have a public liability insurance
policy valid for the duration of the event. Players must arrange their own
insurance. All players have to wear approved protective eye guards on court.
All junior players (under 19 years of age) must wear protective eyewear
(manufactured to an approved national safety standard) properly over the eyes at
all times during practice and match play. The list of WSF Certified Eyewear
allowable at the time of participation can be viewed on the WSF website.
The event complies with the ESF Junior Circuit Guidelines, a copy of which is
available on the ESF website www.europeansquash.com; all participating MNAs
should make sure that all relevant people (including coaches, managers and
players) are aware of the Guidelines and their requirements.

5. DRAWS / SEEDINGS:
The seeding and schedules will be published on:

The seeding and draw will be carried out using the ESF Junior Rankings valid at
the tournament closing date, in accordance with the ESF Junior Circuit
Guidelines section D.
6. TRANSPORT: Players and officials will be picked-up and dropped off at North
and South Airport. Transportation will be provided on arrival / departure to /
from/ Tenerife North/South Airport.
Participants will only be picked up if they notify the tournament organizers of
their arrival times before Saturday, 20th February
There will be a shuttle transfer service between hotel and venue for all
purchased a tournament package including hotel.
7. ENTRIES: All entries must be made through / endorsed by a player’s national
association.
Any entry not approved by the player’s national association will not be
accepted. Only one list with all the player's and staff names must be issued
by every federation

Details of the centre, hotel and travel information will be sent to entrants or their
association by e-mail.
All players / coaches must have registered and paid for SPIN to participate.

8. ENTRY FEE:
PACKAGE A: 2 night hotel (arrive Friday and departure Sunday) + 2 breakfast
+ 3 lunch + 2 dinner --- 216,00€
PACKAGE B: 2 night hotel (arrive Friday and departure Sunday) + 2 breakfast
+ 3 lunch + 2 dinner + t-shirt + entry fee --- 252,00€
PACKAGE C: only entry fee + t-shirt --- 35,00€

Single Room supplement per person per night: 35€
9. CANCELLATION: 50% of fees (less bank charges) will be reimbursed for
withdrawals/cancellations between 1st and 7th March. Fees cannot be refunded
for cancellations received on or after 7th March.
10. REGULATIONS: This tournament is part of the ESF Junior Circuit and
complies with the ESF Junior Circuit Guidelines, a copy of which is available on
the ESF website (www.europeansquash.com). All participating MNAs should
ensure that all relevant people (including coaches, managers and players) are
aware of the Guidelines and their requirements.
ESF PENALTIES from ESF Junior Circuit Guidelines section E.

§E.4.a If a player makes a late withdrawal from a tournament (2 days or less before
the start date), a doctor’s certificate confirming injury/illness must be provided to
avoid penalties. The medical certificate (with a translation in English) must clearly state
the player’s name, date of birth and the nature of the illness/injury;the certificate
must cover the date of the relevant tournament and must be sent to the ESF office no
later than two days after the final day of the tournament (email:
esf@europeansquash.com; fax +44 1424774879). Any player making a late withdrawal
not supported by a medical certificate will receive zero pointsfor the tournament
which will count as one of their 4 best results for the rolling 12 month period and will
be taken into account when dividing the points to obtain the ranking average. This
penalty will be applied automatically unless the ESF office receives a doctor’s
certificate within two days of the tournament finishing.
If a player commits this offence for a second time within a 12 month period, he/she
will be banned from the ESF Junior Circuit for a period of 12 months.

§E.4.b If a player has entered a tournament and fails to turn up, he/she will receive
zero ranking points for the tournament. These zero points will count as one of the
player’s 4 best results for the rolling 12 month period and will be taken into account
when dividing the points to obtain the ranking average. This penalty will be applied
automatically.
If a player commits this offence for a second time within a 12 month period, he/she
will be banned from the ESF Junior Circuit for a period of 12 months.


illness or injury, he/she will receive zero ranking points for the tournament. Illness or
injury must be verified by the tournament director and, if possible, by medical
certificate sent to the ESF office within two days of the tournament finishing. If zero
points are awarded, the points will count as one of the player’s 4 best results for the
rolling 12 month period and will be taken into account when dividing the points to
obtain the ranking average. This penalty will be applied automatically.
If a player commits this offence for a second time within a 12 month period, he/she
will be banned from the ESF Junior Circuit for a period of 12 months.
The recording of matches for coaching / performance analysis purposes is acceptable
provided the player and / or their parents / coaches do not object.
