APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE NEUROSCIENCE MAJOR - 2015 FOR ALL STUDENTS CURRENTLY STUDYING AT MCGILL The Neuroscience Major is a limited-enrolment interdisciplinary program. Students should register for and follow the curriculum of an alternate program until receiving confirmation of acceptance into the Neuroscience Major. Students will be informed of the decision concerning their admission after the grades for the Winter 2015 semester have been recorded and the applications assessed (late June). For additional information about the program please consult the most recent edition of the Undergraduate Calendar. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Applicants must have the program prerequisites complete and a CGPA OF AT LEAST 3.20. Submit your application by email to ryan.bouma@mcgill.ca, subject line: “Neuroscience Major Application.” All supporting documents must be attached to the email. Use your McGill email account for the submission. Applications must be received by MAY 15 and will not be considered unless they are complete. To be complete applications must include the following: This form A 1-page statement containing the following information: a) Your name and McGill student number b) Why you are interested in the program c) Which stream you are thinking of following and why The statement must be submitted as a Word document using 12-point, Times New Roman font, with 1-inch margins and double-spacing. An excellent statement will answer the questions directly, will discuss your previous exposure to neuroscience in specific detail and will discuss your goals within the program and afterwards. Grammar and proof-reading are important, but statements will be judged on content rather than writing ability.
