Practices
Coaches are finalizing their practice schedules as we speak so you can have those in your hands before
the school year starts. With that being said, we are committed to excellence and committing to such a
high standard requires completing difficult, and at times, conflicting decisions. If you are passionate
about your sport you need to be willing to make sacrifices.


Practices will typically run 2-3 times a week with the possibility of a MORNING Practice
beginning at 6:30am. While this is not ideal this allows:
o The student and coach to leave when school is over
o The student to attend tutorials in the afternoon
o The student to ride the bus home and save you a trip in the afternoon
o The student to reach out to his/her teammates if they are unable to attend.
Attending practice will be MANDATORY to be able to play in the game that week. While
we understand tutorials happen only on certain days it is the student’s responsibility to
find a time to meet with the teacher
Games
Students are not allowed to play in games if they are failing or are having to serve a detention/wall
street/ on RISE.

This is to ensure the message of athletics being EARNED and not given is understood
clearly.
Refer to the 3 C’s when thinking about how we act at a game that is Home or Away.
If you are not able to attend please reach out to your specific coach.
“Professional/Church” dress is required for day of game dress. We dress to impress and we look the way
we prepare. If this dress attire is difficult for you to have, please wear your YES Prep professional outfit.
If their athletic fee has not been paid, they will not play. There is a $30 cost per team.
