Context: This is the final task in a unit of work on Healthy environment and recycling. Students have learnt vocabulary related to the various types of pollution (e.g. die Plastiktüte, altes Papier, der Müll) and have also learnt present tense verbs related to environmental practices (e.g. sparen, kaufen, recyceln, werfen). The PowerPoint will contain six slides (title slide plus five information slides written in German) on what their family does for the environment. Each information slide must contain at least one image and one full sentence of German text. Students will use the PowerPoint to support their oral presentation, with spoken text differing from the written text on the PowerPoint, e.g. the written text may say Das ist mein Papa im Supermarkt!, with the accompanying spoken text being Am Mittwoch gehen wir einkaufen. Mein Vater benutzt nie Plastiktüten. Teacher and students develop explicit marking criteria for the task. As a class, develop explicit marking criteria for the task. 6. Rehearse your presentation to build confidence in pronunciation, voice projection and eye contact. 7. Give your presentation to the class, making sure you speak clearly. 8. Present your teacher with an electronic copy of your presentation. Marking criteria: In this task you will be marked on your ability to: use a range of vocabulary appropriate to the topic of Healthy environment and recycling use a range of grammatical and linguistic structures appropriate to your level of study, including present tense verbs and appropriate word order use correct grammar and spelling speak clearly, using correct pronunciation and intonation present your information in a clear and organised way, including appropriate images.
