In 1853, Henry Steinway set out to “build the best piano possible”. Today the Steinway & Sons brand is synonymous with quality & surpasses the expectations of even the most demanding pianist. With extraordinary attention to detail and unparalleled standards of craftsmanship, a Steinway piano is built by third-generation master craftsmen. Made up of over 12,000 parts – some seasoned for more than a decade – each masterpiece is painstakingly hand-made and takes well over a year to complete. It is no wonder that Steinway & Sons pianos have always been the choice of great pianists, including Steinway Artist Lang Lang, jazz sensation Diana Krall, renowned pianists like Singaporean Steinway Artist Melvyn Tan and our home grown Young Steinway Artist Abigail Sin.
