While the emphasis will be on products from coal combustion and gasification, products of the cocombustion of tires, petroleum coke, biomass, etc., with coal will also be considered. Above all, a contribution accepted for publication should be a novel, original, concise, and wellwritten advance in the science and/or engineering of solid coal combustion and gasification products. CCGP essentially will appear in two mutually cooperative, but distinct, formats. Full CCGP content will appear on-line at www.coalcgpjournal.org. The electronic CCGP journal is managed by UK CAER staff. A printed variation, but not a full replica, of the CCGP journal will appear as a printed insert in the ACAA publication, Ash at Work. The CCGP insert for Ash at Work will feature shorter content along with directions for accessing the on-line full content. While this is an unusual model, the rapidly evolving world of print publications calls for a combination of traditional print and electronic publication in order to reach the widest and most appropriate audience. Additionally, CCGP will be indexed in search engines and databases including Google Scholar, Scopus, ISI, and GeoRef. The publishers will seek an impact factor rating. Acceptable Contributions Submitting to CCGP About Coal Combustion and Gasification Products Journal Coal Combustion and Gasification Products (CCGP) is a unique peerreviewed journal designed specifically to communicate coal ash research and emerging new technologies. CCGP is a joint venture between the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research (UK CAER) and the American Coal Ash Association (ACAA). Full-length papers describing research procedures and results. All full-length papers undergo the peer-review process, may include supplementary images, data tables, graphs, etc. Fulllength papers appear only at www.coalcgp-journal.org. Extended abstracts, required for all full-length papers. Extended abstracts may include supplementary material and will appear on-line and in the printed CCGP for Ash at Work. Research communications, complete papers (with references) to communicate quickly important research findings. Research communications undergo the peer-review process and may include supplementary material. Research communications will appear on-line and in the printed CCGP for Ash at Work. Surveys, book reviews, proceedings of symposia, editorials, letters to the editor, reviews of standards, primarily available on-line. Visibility of research through publishing in two mediums Ability to include an array of supplementary materials No publication fees for authors No fees for including color pictures, graphics, tables Opportunity to submit metadata for indexing purposes Only contributions that have not been published previously will be considered for CCGP. Exceptions may be made for papers presented at the World of Coal Ash Conference or published in WOCA proceedings. Please contact the UK CAER for additional details. All submissions are handled through the Allen Press PeerTrack system, www.editorialmanager.com/ccgp/default. asp. To submit to CCGP, authors must register through the Allen Press Peer Track system. Full papers, research communications, and extended abstracts undergo peerreview. Authors must sign a publishing/copyright agreement granting and transferring rights to the contribution.
