Advantages to Authors
Mission Statement
Journal Format
Coal Combustion and Gasification
Products is an international peerreviewed, on-line journal
encompassing the science and
technology of the production,
sustainable utilization, and
environmentally sound handling of
the byproducts of coal combustion
and gasification, including fly ash,
bottom ash, boiler slag, gasification
residues, and products from coal-fuel
blends, flue-gas desulfurization
products, and related materials.
While the emphasis will be on
products from coal combustion and
gasification, products of the cocombustion of tires, petroleum coke,
biomass, etc., with coal will also be
considered. Above all, a contribution
accepted for publication should be a
novel, original, concise, and wellwritten advance in the science and/or
engineering of solid coal combustion
and gasification products.
CCGP essentially will appear in two mutually
cooperative, but distinct, formats. Full CCGP
content will appear on-line at www.coalcgpjournal.org. The electronic CCGP journal is
managed by UK CAER staff. A printed variation,
but not a full replica, of the CCGP journal will
appear as a printed insert in the ACAA
publication, Ash at Work. The CCGP insert for
Ash at Work will feature shorter content along
with directions for accessing the on-line full
content. While this is an unusual model, the
rapidly evolving world of print publications calls
for a combination of traditional print and
electronic publication in order to reach the
widest and most appropriate audience.
Additionally, CCGP will be indexed in
search engines and databases including
Google Scholar, Scopus, ISI, and
GeoRef. The publishers will seek an
impact factor rating.
