Keep patient warm and at rest. Call a Ingestion physician immediately. : If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Do not induce vomiting. Information for the physician Atropine is a specific antidote and can be applied immediately by qualified personnel at a level of 2-5 mg (intramuscularly), every 20 minutes and until atropinization is achieved. DO NOT APPLY atropine to cyanotic patients; first provide oxygen. DO NOT use opiaceous or barbiturate. If convulsions are persented, administer diazepam (10mg intravenous route). Take 10ml of venous blood for the determination of the cholinesterase activity. Cholinesterase reactivators (Pralidoxima) must be administered, if possible, at the same time than the atropine. They are not so much effective 24 hours after exposure and they do not replace atropine. DOSE: Pralidoxime: Moderate intoxication: Serious intoxication: 1g in 2-3ml of water (intramuscularly) 2g in 30ml of water (intravenously) After the ingestion, absorbents such as charcoal, may be valuable. If it is considered necessary to carry out gastric or vomiting for the formulations based on oils or corrosive ones, inhalation of the gastric contents must be prevented. _____________________________________________________________________________________ 5. Contain the flowing water, for example with provisional soil barriers. Protection equipment : In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus and proper protective clothing. ______________________________________________________________________________________ 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Individual precautions Cleaning methods : Make sure of using proper personal protection during spillages elimination. This means wearing facial masks that facilitates protection against organic vapors, ocular protection, chemical resistant gloves, boots and complete provective suit. : Absorb spillages with sand, earth or another absorbent proper material. Transfer them to a container for disposal. Wash the area with water. It must be prevented that wash waters penetrate in sewers. Spillages or the uncontrolled unloading of water resources must be communicated to the competent authority. - 2/7 - EC Material safety data sheet Syngenta ACTELLIC 50EC Version: 6 Previous revision: 06/06/00 Date of issue: 06/06/00 ______________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________ 7.
