The arrival of the new Starter Kit will be a
day to remember! The new Independent
Beauty Consultant will be greeted with her
beautifully packaged and pre-packed
Starter Kit Bag equipped to help her get
started and make the most of her new
business.
New Independent Beauty Consultants will
receive their own Custom Look when they
place their initial qualified order within 15 days
of the Company’s acceptance of their
Independent Beauty Consultant Agreement.
New Independent Beauty Consultants may
seek the guidance their Independent Sales
Director to make an inventory decision,
and receiving their own Custom Look is a
great incentive to order early so they can
start selling and earning money.
Encourage her to complete the online quiz so
that she receives a look that is customized just
for her. You can help her complete it by
accessing her quiz in your “New Unit
Members” Report in myBusiness®
New Independent Beauty Consultants can
customize their product bonus bundles
based on their preferences and business
goals.
Now that new Independent Beauty Consultants
can customize their bonus, you may offer to
help her decide which product bonus bundles
would best fit her customer list. Asking
questions can help her feel empowered and
excited about her choices.
A suggested activity for new Independent
Beauty Consultants is to complete the
checklist in the Start Earning Now
magazine.
Ask a new Independent Beauty Consultant to
call you and tell you what she is most excited
about in her Starter Kit.
Encourage her to watch the Welcome segment
on the Start Something Beautiful DVD and
review the checklist in the Start Earning Now
magazine for what to do next.
Additionally, they’re great tools to incorporate
into your New Independent Beauty Consultant
Orientation. You may even find that much of
the content in the Start Earning Now magazine
covers much of the information that you may
already include in your Welcome Packets.

to choose, would be to think about which
products she wants to sell to her
customers.
The BizBuilders program is designed to reward
Independent Beauty Consultants for
consistently maintaining active status with the
Company.
New Independent Beauty Consultants can
enjoy spending their BizBuilder Bucks on
future product orders or Section 2 items as
long as they maintain their active status.

“Thank you” note in first product order
Any new Independent Beauty Consultant who
starts her business as of March 1, 2012 will
receive a thank you note in her initial order of
$200 Section 1 wholesale or more. It’s the
Company’s way of acknowledging and showing
support of the commitment she has made to
her new business.
New Independent Beauty Consultants will
feel warm and fuzzy after receiving the
note in their product order.
Follow-up to see if she received the note in her
order, and let her know how Mary Kay Ash
always cherished the personal touch. Let her
know that you and the Company appreciate her
and are excited as she starts this journey.
Motivational CD in second product order
Any new Independent Beauty Consultant who
places her second Section 1 order of any size
as of March 1, 2012 will receive a
complimentary motivational CD in her order.
This CD is one of the many things a new
Independent Beauty Consultant will be
inspired and motivated by to continue
working her business.
Ask new Independent Beauty Consultants to
make a commitment to listening to the CD, and
ask if she would mind giving you her opinion.
Offer to give her suggestions on ways to fit it
into her schedule, such as driving to an
appointment or at night before bed.

These communication touch points are
designed to help new Independent Beauty
Consultants stay engaged, feel supported
and keep the momentum going.
Continue the praise and encouragement at your
Unit meetings by asking, “Who got love from
the Company this week?” Instead of tracking
the communication, invite new Independent
Beauty Consultants to bring these
communications to the meeting.
1st Anniversary Gift
Beginning April 1, 2012, New Independent
Beauty Consultants will receive a $20 credit to
use on a minimum $200 Section 1 wholesale
order or more placed in their anniversary
month.
New Independent Beauty Consultants will
want to be sure to place an order in their
anniversary month to take advantage of
this special offer.
Celebrate this special occasion with her. Begin
talking about the gift early in her 12th month.
Regardless of her activity level, consider
reaching out to her to make her feel special by
acknowledging this important milestone.

Independent Beauty Consultants up for
success.
New Independent Beauty Consultants can
learn from successful Independent Sales
Directors and can move forward with

Help them understand the value of their first
order, and placing it early. They’ll not only
receive their product bonus bundles, but earn
BizBuilder Bucks credit on their second order
