For each issue mentioned in the WG Decision for which comments are invited, JP comments are presented below. (1) whether the references to H02K 1/00 and H02K 3/00 in subclass H02K are really limiting: JP, taking into consideration of the WG Decision, shall delete description of references pointing to H02K 1/00 and H02K 3/00. Because H02K 1/ and H02K 3/ are major categories in H02K, if they are not limiting references, keeping them as informative references is unnecessary. H02K11/00 Structural association of dynamo-electric machines with electric components or with devices for shielding, monitoring or protection (casings, enclosures or supports H02K 5/00 ) (2) to assess the proposal by Germany in Annex 2 in relation to group H02K 11/044: Considering the ANNEX 2, JP proposes to reorganize H02K 11/044-048 into following groups from the aspect of arrangement of rectifier. Based on the EP comment, hierarchy of 11/044 and 11/046 as per the ANNEX 19 shall remain the same. As for H02K 11/048, JP proposes to upgrade the hierarchy by one-dot and change the aspect as follows. In other words, its aspect should be unified with H02K 11/042 to arrangement. For the purpose of facilitating search activities, JP deemed it better to concentrate non-mechanical commutating devices into H02K29. (4) whether the “using machine windings as detecting coil, i.e., sensorless position control” in group H02K 11/225 fits in this main group: JP is of the opinion that sensorless position control per se is not covered by this main group. Instead, “control” aspect should be covered by H02P. Also, if it is sensorless, then there is no coil devoted exclusively for detection. Thus, it shall not be provided for by H02K11. JP proposes to delete the “e.g. and subsequent phrase” from the H02K 11/225 title. H02K11/225 ・・・Detecting coils (5) whether the approved titles of groups H02K 11/24 to H02K 11/27 reflect the intended scope: As JP sees it, the intended scope is “sensing or actuated thereby”. The term “responsive” is inadequate because its scope is unclear. Therefore, JP proposes to use expressions which GB proposed in the ANNEX 15. This goes the same for H02K11/21. What measures torque by detecting current should be classified in H02K11/27. Therefore, a precedence reference pointing to H02K11/27 should be added in H02K11/24. Therefore, the informative reference should be included in H02K11/38. (7) Concerning to EP comments: As per of H02K, H02K11 is not required to describe limiting references to H02K16/00-99/00. But it does preclude H02K11 from carrying informative references in the definition. Therefore, the informative references shall be added in H02K11/00. 1.
