7 Saturday Classes, October 3-November 21, 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Exhibition and Open House on December 5, 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Children in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade are warmly invited to join the Indiana University Saturday
Art School Program for Fall 2015. Saturday Art School classes take place over 7 Saturdays and
culminate in an open house and exhibition on the 8th week. All classes meet in the Wright Education
Building, 201 N. Rose Avenue. Registration is available on the School of Education website (click here
to register) and scholarships are available. Pre-registration is urged as space is limited. Please contact

Saturday Art School provides an opportunity for
children to experience visual arts instruction in
supportive, small group settings. Activities
involve basic artistic processes and are designed
around a new theme each term.
Saturday Art School is part of the IU School of
Education Teacher Education program. Sessions
are taught by Art Education majors at
undergraduate and graduate levels, and supervised
by Art Education faculty and doctoral students.
Dr. Lara Lackey is the faculty Coordinator.
Art Explorations for Kindergarten- 1st Grade 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Children enrolled in this course will experience a range of 2-D and 3-D visual art activities, which may
include drawing, painting, printmaking, collage and sculpture. *** Please note- children must be at least
five years old and currently enrolled in kindergarten or 1st grade.
Art Explorations for Grades 2-3 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Children enrolled in this course will experience a range of 2-D and 3-D visual art activities, which may
include drawing, painting, printmaking, collage and sculpture.
Art Explorations for Grades 4-6 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Children enrolled in this course will experience a range of 2-D and 3-D visual art activities, which may
include drawing, painting, printmaking, collage and sculpture.
Saturday Studio: Digital Arts and Creative Exploration K-5 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Children enrolled in this course may explore a selection of new creative media including but not limited
to photography, animation, digital design & creation, and video game design.
