DIRECTIONS – From Whitby Take A171 to Scalby, pass the Tennis Courts on the left, then take a right into
Hackness Road, and continue for approximately 2 miles.
From Scarborough take A171 to Scalby, continue through Scalby, turn left into Hackness Road, and continue for
approximately 2 miles.
Ring 1 – Showing (9.00am Prompt Start)
Class 1 – Tack and Turn Out (if sufficient entries rosettes will be split into Horses and Ponies)
Class 2 – Veteran Horse/Pony 15 years or older, ridden or in hand
Class 3 –Coloured Horse/Pony, ridden or in hand (to include Spotted, Palomino, Roan or Dun)
Class 4 – Mountain and Moorland ridden or in hand
Class 5 – Bonny Horse/Pony ridden or in hand
Class 6 –Pony Club Pony, rider 16 years and under, to include a small jump and a simple task
Class 7 – Happy Hacker, to include a simple task
Class 8 – Young Handler, rider 14 years & under (if sufficient entries separate rosettes for under
10’s)
Class 9 – Tiny Tots, Lead Rein, rider 9 years and under (if sufficient entries separate rosettes for
under 6’s)
Class 10 – First Ridden, rider 12 years and under (no canter)
Class 11 – Open Ridden (14.2 and under)
Class 12 – Ridden Horse (14.3 and over)
Class 13 – Ridden Cob
Ring 2 – Show Jumping (10.30am Prompt Start)
Class 14 – 65cm (Horse Exceeding 14.2)
Class 15 – 75cm (Horse Exceeding 14.2)
Class 16 – 85cm (Horse Exceeding 14.2)
Class 17 – 95cm (Horse Exceeding 14.2)
Class 18 – 50cm Rider 12 years and under (Pony Not Exceeding 14.2)
Class 19 – 65cm (Pony Not Exceeding 14.2)

Class 24 – Novice Nursery 13hh and under, Jump Height 50cm, rider 12 years and under
Class 25 – Working Hunter Pony, not exceeding 13hh, Jump Height 65cm
Class 26 – Working Hunter Pony, not exceeding 14hh, Jump Height 70cm
Class 27 – Working Hunter Pony, not exceeding 15hh, Jump height 75cm
Class 28 – Novice Horse Working Hunter, exceeding 15hh, Jump Height 75cm (Combination not
to have won more than £30 in any Jumping Competition)
Class 29 – Open Horse Working Hunter, exceeding 15hh.
Class 30 – CHAMPIONSHIPS 1ST AND 2ND PRIZE WINNERS FROM CLASSES 22-29
Ring 4 – Tiny Tots Jumping (9.00am Prompt Start)
Clear Round 9.00am – 10.00am (Entries taken at the ring) (Entry Fee £2.00 with rosette, £1.50
without rosette) CLEAR ROUND WILL CONTINUE AFTER CLASS 34.
Class 31 – Lead Rein Jumping, rider 8 years and under
Class 32 – Jumping, rider 10 years and under
Class 33 – Jumping, rider 12 years and under
Class 34 – Horse and Hound (Horse and rider to jump a course of fences, then dog and leader to
jump the course, rider and leader may be separate people)

CANNOT COMPETE IN RING 2
Conditions of Entry:
1. The judge’s decision is final
2. Any objections should be submitted to judge within 10 minutes of class finishing, together with a
£15 deposit.
3. A riding hat must be worn and correctly fastened at all times when mounted. Pony Club members
must wear a hat that conforms to The Pony Club Hat Rule (Rule 14.1) & tagged with a Pony Club
Hat Tag. Non-Members are strongly advised to wear a riding hat that meets the Pony Club
Standards.
4. No liability will be accepted by organisers or landowners or anyone acting on their behalf for
loss, damage, accident or illness to horse, rider, spectator or any other person or property
whatsoever.
5. The organisers reserve the right to amend this schedule as they deem necessary.
6. No pony/ horse under 4 years allowed in any ridden class.
7. Qualified first aider will be in attendance during the show.
Health & Safety: The organiser of this event has taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the
health and safety of every person and horse/pony present. For these measures to be affective,
everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey
the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards.

Entry fee on the day is £6 (Staintondale Pony Club Members £5 per class). There will be no
additional charge for First Aid.
