Dear Prospective Student,
Thank you for your interest in the part time Master’s Degree/Postgraduate Diploma Programme in
Non-Surgical Facial Aesthetics (NSFA) for Registered Healthcare Professionals. Please find below
the entry criteria and application process for the programme.
The programme is designed to equip appropriate healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills
and personal and professional insights and qualities needed to function as a successful change
agent or practice innovator in the advancement of cosmetic aesthetic medicine. Throughout the
programme you will be expected to develop a critical understanding of the links between theory and
aesthetic practice.
All entrants to the MSc/PGDip Non Surgical Facial Aesthetics for Healthcare Professionals must
meet the following requirements:
 Be a registered Healthcare Professional (ie. medical practitioner, dental surgeon, registered
nurse*).
 Have a Bachelors degree in a relevant subject with Honours at lower second class or above.
 Have access to a practice environment that can be clinical or research based.
 Be registered with a Professional Indemnity organisation.
 Hold a current certificate of immunisation against communicable disease (Hepatitis B).
 Have sufficient competency in English Language (IELTS level 7 or equivalent). Competency
may be demonstrated by qualification, accreditation of prior learning or separate University
assessment.
*Degree holding Dental Therapists/Hygienists with access to a suitable Independent Prescriber and
holding appropriate indemnity insurance will be considered for entry to the programme on a case-bycase basis.
If you are not currently delivering injectable therapies, eg botulinum toxin, it would be an advantage
and desirable to gain injecting some experience prior to joining the programme and we recommend
you attend a suitable foundation course providing hands-on/injectable practice.

need to provide a supporting statement of why you would like to apply for the Non-Surgical
Facial Aesthetics Postgraduate Programme and what you hope to gain from the programme.

Details of your current practice and any aesthetic treatments you currently provide, or details of
treatments you have been trained to deliver.
Copies of evidence of your professional qualifications and professional body registration status.
Details of any other accredited or certificated courses that could be considered as prior learning
or prior experiential learning.
