It was a rainy day for the District 10 Holstein show when exhibitors made
their way to the Wadena county fairgrounds on Saturday, August 6 th 2011. Barry
Visser traveled to place the animals as the official judge of the show.
Miss Holmgren SZ Calgary-ET was the chosen Junior Champion and first
place summer yearling, exhibited by John Holmgren. Judge Visser chose
Rainyridge Sanchez Rome as Reserve Junior Champion, she was the first place
winter yearling also exhibited by John Holmgren.
Among the cow classes, the Senior Champion and also Grand Champion
of the show was Auspicious Terrason Madrid. She was the first place 3-year-old
cow, Top Bred and Owned animal and Best Udder of the show, exhibited by
Robb and Heidi Oyster. In Reserve for Senior Champion and Reserve Grand
Champion of the show, Judge Visser chose the 2nd place 3-year-old cow, LidaAcres Dolman Dixie, exhibited by Robb and Heidi Oyster.
