Dear Parent/Guardian:
As part of our school’s commitment to lifelong fitness, a certified tennis professional from Tennis BC
will be coming to our school during the week of January 18-22, 2016 to teach our students about the
great sport of tennis. The program includes all equipment, and is geared specifically for students in
Kindergarten through Grade Five using a slow speed soft tennis ball that allows children of all ages
and abilities to be involved while learning the fundamentals of tennis.
Marcus Andersson has been with Moody Elementary for many years now and will be using fun and
innovative games and will provide each student with lessons during school time beginning
Monday, January 18, 2015. Our goal is to have students develop an active and healthy lifestyle for
years to come. The cost of this program includes the 5-6 tennis lessons and the use of equipment.
Please sign the attached permission form and thanks to our PAC the charge for five student
lessons will be $7.00 this year.

 While school staff will take reasonable steps to prevent injuries to students, some degree of risk is
inherent in the nature of activities, and may occur without fault on the part of the student, school
board, its employees or agents, or the facility where the activity is taking place. By allowing your
child to participate in this activity, you are agreeing that the activity described above is suitable for
your child, and that there is a risk of injury associated with the activity. If there are special concerns
which school staff should be aware of surrounding your child’s participation, please indicate in the
space below.
 My child and I understand that both the district and school’s Code of Conduct applies during the
activities. I will be responsible for any costs caused by my child’s failure to abide by the Codes of
Conduct.
