The biggest ever guide to Exeter has been published, offering residents and visitors an array of places to visit and stay, in what is fast becoming one of the region’s top city break destinations.
Comprising of 68 pages of essential visitor information, the Exeter Visitor Guide includes pointers on how to make the most of 48hours in the city, not to be missed events, profiles of Exeter’s top attractions and cultural venues, shopping tips, exclusive special offer vouchers and inspiring ideas on where to eat out and stay.
Exeter’s visitor offering is huge. Rich in history, there is so much to discover, including medieval passages, a fascinating museum, Historic Quayside and an awe-inspiring cathedral to explore. In Exeter, there’s a cultural scene to discover that’s as varied and exciting as the city itself. Whether you’re a theatre lover, music buff, foodie or art enthusiast, the Exeter Visitor Guide reveals that Exeter has something for everyone. In
2015, Exeter will by playing host to the third largest sporting event in the world – Rugby
World Cup 2015. As well as hosting three Rugby World Cup 2015 matches at Sandy Park, the city will also provide a dedicated Fanzone, offering big screen live coverage and exciting entertainment throughout the Tournament. The Exeter Visitor Guide includes a
12-page Rugby World Cup 2015 guide to Exeter detailing everything you’ll need to know.

With 140,000 copies of the Visitor Guide published, and the ‘Visit Exeter experience’ being actively promoted through regional advertising and social media, Exeter’s position as a top city break destination is on the rise. Distribution of the Exeter Visitor Guide began in December 2014 across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Bristol and Bath to key pick-up points including Tourist Offices , service stations, supermarkets, holiday centres, caravan parks, hotel and guesthouses, restaurants, tourist attractions, airports, bus and rail stations.
