Craftsmanship – 20 possible points
Advanced (20 points)
The timeline is a representation of
the assigned events, laws, policies,
established groups, situations, etc.
The student was creative in the
chosen media (PowerPoint, Prezi,
book, video, song, poster, etc.). The
project was neat and showed
considerable effort in design and
implementation. The project was
easy to follow and understand. All
pictures are present and in color.
Proficient (15 points)
The project is a representation of
the assigned events, laws, policies,
established groups, situations, etc.
but is hard to decipher the
information. The student was not
creative in the choice media, and
several mistakes are present. The
project shows some neatness, but
there are obvious defects in design
and implementation. All pictures are
present, but 1-5 have no color.
Basic (10 points)
The project is a representation of
the assigned events, laws, policies,
established groups, situations, etc.
but several pieces of information is
missing. The student was not
creative in the choice media, and
several mistakes are present. The
project shows some neatness, but
there are obvious defects in design
and implementation. All pictures are
present, but >5 have no color.
Minimal (5 points)
The project is not an accurate
representation of the events, laws,
policies, established groups,
situations, etc. assigned. The
student showed no creativity in
choice of media. The project shows
no neatness and is impossible to
decipher. Even though there might
be some pictures present, one or
more are missing.
Proficient (45 points)
Most events, laws, policies,
established groups, and situations
are represented in the timeline
correctly; no more than 2 were out
of order and no more than 6 were
missing or incorrect. Most events,
laws, policies, established groups,
and situations have an appropriate
description of their importance to
Environmental Science and/or how
they contribute to Environmental
Science and/or how they changed
actions of individuals; no more than
6 were missing or incorrect. No
more than 6 pictures were missing
or not in color.

present and correctly documents all
resources used. At least three valid
resources were used to obtain
information.

citations, etc.; no more than 3
events, laws, policies, established
groups, and situations are
documented incorrectly; no more
than 3 images are documented
