UNIVERSITY CORE CURRICULUM All current undergraduate students (admitted prior to Fall 2008) and new transfer students admitted in the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010* academic years will complete a version of the Core Curriculum: • If students have fewer than 45 credits in transfer, they will complete the full Core Curriculum using Core or GenEd courses taken at Temple or the equivalent transfer courses, with the exception of two Writing Intensive courses, which must be taken at Temple; • If students have 45 or more credits in transfer, they will complete the 45+ Core Curriculum using Core or GenEd courses taken at Temple or the equivalent transfer courses, with the exception of two Writing Intensive courses, which must be taken at Temple; • If students have completed an approved Associate’s degree from a Core-to-Core partner institution, their University Core Curriculum is complete with the exception of two Writing Intensive courses, which must be taken at Temple. Each Core area has a list of courses approved as satisfying the requirements for that area. III Effective Fall 2008, Intellectual Heritage 1196 (IA), Intellectual Heritage 1297 (IB), Intellectual Heritage 1996 (IA/HO), and Intellectual Heritage 1997 (IB/HO) - are no longer offered, except at the Japan campus. Choose from GY (Mosaic 0851) sections to fulfill the Intellectual Heritage 1196 requirement; choose from GY (Mosaic 0951) sections to fulfill the Intellectual Heritage 1996 requirement; choose from GZ (Mosaic 0852) sections to fulfill the Intellectual Heritage 1297 requirement; choose from GZ (Mosaic 0952) sections to fulfill the Intellectual Heritage 1997 requirement. IV Students who have completed Intellectual Heritage 1196 and still need to fulfill the Intellectual Heritage 1297 requirement can complete Mosaic 0851 or 0852. Honors students who have completed Intellectual Heritage 1996 and still need to fulfill the Intellectual Heritage 1997 requirement can complete Mosaic 0951 or 0952. V GQ courses can be used to satisfy either QA or QB Core requirements; however, students required to complete the Core curriculum must complete a total of two courses to satisfy the Quantitative Reasoning requirement.
