VACANCY: SENIOR SUBJECT SPECIALIST (3-YEAR FIXED-TERM POSITION)
Responsibilities:



Preparation and analysis of biological samples with NMR
Processing and interpretation of the spectra
General management, maintenance and development of the NMR laboratory equipment, including problem
statements and solutions
Development of commercial applications for NMR spectroscopy
Student supervision and training
The establishment of policies and procedures for the NMR laboratory



Minimum requirements:

A PhD in Biochemistry
Other competency requirements







At least two years’ experience in the use of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy in metabolomics research
The ability to interpret nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy profiles
The ability to process NMR raw data to a data matrix
The ability to process univariate and multivariate data
The ability to do metabolic interpretation of processed NMR data
The ability to handle maintenance of and fault finding in nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers
The ability to handle the development and validation of standard operational procedures for routine analytical
applications of NMR technology
