First Lady Ester Hope Washington is a native of the beautiful island of
Trinidad & Tobago. She is the fifth child of the late Mr. Kydd & Mrs. Sybil Hope.
Lady Washington is the Lead Special Education Resource teacher at Fox Chapel
Elementary School in Montgomery County, Maryland. She has also taught in
Mississippi and Louisiana. She loves children and enjoys seeing them understand, make connections, apply and excel at concepts they are taught.
Lady Washington is a proud "1983" (B.Sc.) and “1985”(M.Ed.)graduate of
Jackson State University, Jackson, Mississippi. While at Jackson State University, she was an outstanding all-American track star and honor roll student. In 1984,
Lady Washington represented her country in the Olympic Games held in Los
Angeles, CA where her 4X 100 meter relay team finished seventh in the finals.
Lady Washington has been a diligent worker in the church most of her life. God has blessed Lady Washington with the ability to befriend others, providing opportunities for much laughter, being a helpful resource and making every member know that they are very important to this branch of Zion and in the eyes of
God. She has been active as a Sunday School Teacher, Marriage Ministry Co-
Leader, VBS co-director, President of the Women's Ministry, and presently the
President of the Deaconess Ministry, teacher to new members, praise team member and so much more. Her involvement in the body of Christ has been abundant and inspiring. She is one that gives her best wherever she can be a blessing to God's people and to the building up of His Kingdom.
If you should ask Lady Washington what her greatest accomplishments are, she would quickly tell you the day she said "I Do" to her loving husband and the day she became mother to her beautiful daughters Franchasca, Ashli and Amanda.
Lady Washington's goals in life are:
 To be a good wife


To be a good mother
To be a diligent child of God.
