Introduction
Fulvic Acid is NOT a medicine……it increases general wellbeing, build resistance
against attack and assist in repairing damage to living cells.
Before humans started with farming, and artificial processing of food and water,
Fulvic Acid used to be a part of our daily intake of substances. It was found in water,
soil as well as plants and animals that we consumed. In addition to this Humans
used to absorb it through their skin when they bathed or took a mud bath in ancient
times. Fulvic Acid plays a very important role in our digestive system and is
necessary for normal cellular function.
Herewith a summary of an explanation of every day terminology that most people
don’t fully understand:
 Chelator/ Chelation
 Explanation of chelation:


The word chelation is derived
from Greek χηλή, chēlē, meaning "claw"; the ligands lie around the
central atom like the claws of a lobster. A ligand is a chemical that have
the ability to enclose other chemicals.
Chelation describes a particular way that ions and molecules bind
metal ions. According to the International Union of Pure and Applied
Chemistry(IUPAC), chelation involves the formation or presence of two
or more separate coordinate bonds between a polydentate (multiple
bonded) ligand and a single central atom. Usually these ligands are
organic compounds, and are called chelants, chelators, chelating
agents, or sequestering agents.

 Anti-oxidant
Explanation of what an Antioxidant is and does:
An antioxidant is a molecule that inhibits the oxidation of other molecules.
Oxidation is a chemical reaction that transfers electrons or hydrogen from a
substance to an oxidizing agent. Oxidation reactions can produce free
radicals. In turn, these radicals can start chain reactions. When the chain
reaction occurs in a cell, it can cause damage or death to the cell.
Antioxidants terminate these chain reactions by removing free radical
intermediates, and inhibit other oxidation reactions. They do this by being
oxidized themselves, so antioxidants are often reducing agents, for example,
thiols, ascorbic acid, or polyphenols (i.e. Fulvic Acid).
A polyphenol antioxidant (Like Fulvic Acid) is a type of antioxidant containing
a polyphenolic or natural phenol substructures. It numbering over 4,000
distinct species, many of these compounds have antioxidant activity in vitro
(outside the cell) but are unlikely to have antioxidant roles in vivo (inside the
cell). Fulvic Acid functions in vitro as well as in vivo. Polyphenols, such as
Fulvic Acid, affect cell-to-cell signaling, receptor sensitivity, inflammatory
enzyme activity and gene regulation.
 Super-electrolyte
Electrolytes.
Physiological importance
In physiology, the primary ions of electrolytes are sodium (Na+), potassium (K+),
calcium (Ca2+), magnesium (Mg2+), chloride (Cl−), hydrogen phosphate (HPO42−),
and hydrogen carbonate (HCO3−). The electric charge symbols of plus (+) and
minus (−) indicate that the substance is ionic in nature and has an imbalanced
distribution of electrons, the result of chemical dissociation. Sodium is the main
electrolyte found in extracellular fluid and is involved in fluid balance and blood
pressure control.
All known higher life forms require a subtle and complex electrolyte balance between
the intracellular and extra-cellular environment. In particular, the maintenance of
precise osmotic gradients of electrolytes is important. Such gradients affect and
regulate the hydration of the body as well as blood pH, and are critical for nerve and
muscle function. Various mechanisms exist in living species that keep the
concentrations of different electrolytes under tight control.
Osmotic gradient is the difference in concentration between two solutions on either
side of a semi-permeable membrane (like a cell membrane), and is used to tell the
2
difference in percentages of the concentration of a specific particle dissolved in a
solution.
Both muscle tissue and neurons are considered electric tissues of the body. Muscles
and neurons are activated by electrolyte activity between the extra-cellular fluid or
interstitial fluid, and intracellular fluid. Electrolytes may enter or leave the cell
membrane through specialized protein structures embedded in the plasma
membrane called ion channels. For example, muscle contraction is dependent upon
the presence of calcium (Ca2+), sodium (Na+), and potassium (K+). Without
sufficient levels of these key electrolytes, muscle weakness or severe muscle
contractions may occur.
If you study the mineral content of Fulvic Acid you immediately realize that Fulvic
Acid contain all the mineral elements involved in needed for a sound electrolyte
balance.
 Organic Based Multi-Mineral
Modern day minerals.
If you look at how many shelf space retailers make available for supplements such
as Vitamins, Minerals, Trace elements and other nutrients one would venture to
assume that our food sources are really depleted of all these substances. Recently
there is a strong movement towards supplying “bio-available” supplements. This is
because it was found that the body’s ability to recognize and absorb these
substances is very low. Estimated at around 10 to 20 %. It means that you lose up to
80% of the money you spent on these items.
It is a cold hard fact that our bodies were not designed to accommodate the
supplements in the way it is presented to us and no matter how much you try and
manipulate it the body cannot be fooled. Shortages occur as a result of this and we
have cravings, that we believe is hunger, and over eating becomes part of our
lifestyle. There is no more natural form of Nutrients than those you find in Fulvic Acid
and, in addition to this, Fulvic Acid’s natural ability to change substances, which are
not ready for absorption into our body, into their natural form we achieve better
utilization the food we eat.
 Detox agent.
Heavy metal detoxification
Apart from its role as a free radical scavenger 9discussed previously) Chelation
therapy is the use of chelating agents to detoxify poisonous metal agents such as
mercury, arsenic, and lead by converting them to a chemically inert form that can be
excreted without further interaction with the body, and was approved by the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration in 1991.

TECHNICAL DATA
FULVIC ACID CHEMISTRY
In nature
Virtually all biochemicals exhibit the ability to dissolve certain metal cations. Thus,
proteins, polysaccharides, and polynucleic acids are excellent polydentate ligands
for many metal ions. Organic compounds such as the amino acids glutamic acid and
histidine, organic diacids such as malate, and polypeptides such as phytochelatin
are also typical chelators. In addition to these adventitious chelators, several
biomolecules are specifically produced to bind certain metals (see next section).[5] [6] [7]
[8]
In biochemistry and microbiology
Virtually all metallo-enzymes feature metals that are chelated, usually to peptides or
cofactors and prosthetic groups.[8] Such chelating agents include the porphyrin rings
in hemoglobin and chlorophyll. Many microbial species produce water-soluble
pigments that serve as chelating agents, termed siderophores. (Greek: "iron carrier")
are small, high-affinity iron chelating compounds secreted by microorganisms such
as bacteria, fungi and grasses. Siderophores are amongst the strongest soluble Fe3+
binding agents known. For example, species of Pseudomonas are known to secrete
pyochelin and pyoverdine that bind iron. Enterobactin, produced by E. coli, is the
strongest chelating agent known.
In Geology
In earth science, chemical weathering is attributed to organic chelating agents (e.g.,
peptides and sugars) that extract metal ions from minerals and rocks.[9] Most metal
complexes in the environment and in nature are bound in some form of chelate ring
(e.g., with a humic acid or a protein). Thus, metal chelates are relevant to the
mobilization of metals in the soil, the uptake and the accumulation of metals into
plants and microorganisms. Selective chelation of heavy metals is relevant to
bioremediation (e.g., removal of 137Cs from radioactive waste).[10]
Since the early development of these compounds, much more research has been
conducted, and has been applied to human nutrition products in a similar manner to
the animal nutrition experiments that pioneered the technology. Ferrous bis-glycinate
4
is an example of one of these compounds that has been developed for human
nutrition.[12]
Industrial and agricultural
Fertilizers
Metal chelate compounds are common components of fertilizers to provide
micronutrients. These micronutrients (manganese, iron, and zinc, copper) are
required for the overall health of the plants. Most fertilizers contain phosphate salts
that, in the absence of chelating agents, typically convert these metal ions into
insoluble solids that are of no nutritional value to the plants.
5
Electrolyte balance is maintained by oral, or in emergencies, intravenous (IV) intake
of electrolyte-containing substances, and is regulated by hormones, in general with
the kidneys flushing out excess levels. In humans, electrolyte homeostasis is
regulated by hormones such as anti-diuretic hormone, aldosterone and parathyroid
hormone. Serious electrolyte disturbances, such as dehydration and over hydration,
may lead to cardiac and neurological complications and, unless they are rapidly
resolved, will result in a medical emergency
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
At the moment there is no legislation in place that regulates the
extraction and sale of natural compounds. We do, however, provide the

CHALLENGES
LEGAL FRAMEWORK
Another question people ask me is whether the product is safe and does it need to
be registered?
Legislation is now under review in South Africa and if this legislation is passed into
law Fulvic Acid will become a Category D medicine. This is the same category that
Vitamin C will fall in. The challenge to the new legislation is that it will result in the
loss of 200 000 jobs and wiping off of R 50 billion from the Tax Base. It means that
SARS will lose the tax generated on the revenue created by the current alternative
medicine industry (falling outside regulation by the Medicine Control Council). At the
moment Fulvic Acid is not regarded as a medicine and as such falls in the same
category as, for example, energy drinks. Apart from the impact on the formal
economy this legislation will also impact on the informal economy because
Traditional healers (Sangoma’s) will have to close their practices or practice illegally.

OPPORTUNTIES.
Having a fantastic product does not mean you will automatically sell thousands of
litres. People need to be made aware of it. Establishing a business entity and
appoint people to manufacture and sell the product sounds simple and straight
forward, especially when the product is received with such enthusiasm. Usually a
company will put measures into place to ensure market capture or to hold the
monopoly that will enable them to at least capture majority market share. Attempts to
follow the traditional route of entering the market was cumbersome.
I soon realised that I need a different approach. I set out to determine the best way
forward and I discovered that the reason sales did not take off, as expected, was
because people had no idea what Fulvic Acid is. Whenever I told people about the
product in more detail and they commit to use the product for at least two weeks
diligently they became very enthusiastic. I decided that my approach should rather
be to share the benefit of the product with as many people as possible. Whether it is
the benefit you will experience through better well-being, or financial benefit by being
involved as an ambassador or selling of the product. I decided to leave it up to the
8
individual to decide where and how they want to be involved. I experienced that
there is a natural progression from Level 1. To Level 4. Involvement with the product.
Fulvic Acid taste bad……….
Even though Fulvic Acid does not taste too good I decided to make it available in its
most natural form. Once people made the product part of their daily intake they have
created a sound base for general well-being. Adding to the Fulvic Acid backbone,
after this, one can address many ailments by incorporating one of a myriad of other
molecules. Fulvic Acid enhances the uptake and effectiveness of any substance you
add to it. We are ourselves busy with the following developments:
1. Addition of Mono-atomic metal elements to humic/ fulvic acids (replacing, for
example, Colloidal Silver).
2. Water purification and enhancement (higher energy waters).
3. Skin, hair and nail treatments
a. Conditions
b. Maintenance.
4. Formulations for:
a. Human Consumption
b. Animal Consumption
c. Plants
d. Environmental protection and rehabilitation

Apart from the thousands of testimonies found on the Internet we have experience
with
1. Personal experience.
2. Iron deficiency
3. Multiple Sclerosis
4. Fybromyalgia
5. Lupus
6. Cancer
7. Stomach ailments
8. Weight Loss
9. Depression
