EXAMPLE PRE-REGISTRATION TIMETABLE
Each pre-registration will have an allocated pre-registration tutor throughout the 12 month period.
In the initial 6 months training, you will have a supervisor for each of the following areas: dispensary,
dispatch, medicines management, technical services and medicines information.
There will also be rota’s activities for which you will be responsible including a daily antibiotic/VTE
sweep on the Emergency Admissions Unit and ward stock management.
In the second 6 months training we would expect you to have completed competencies in the dispensary
and medicines management and you will continue to support the department in these areas. In addition
you will have a clinical supervisor during your ward rotations and be expected to develop other clinical
skills such as screening and completion of an audit.
