Event Set Up Charges

This structure is designed to provide campus groups with the ability to better anticipate event costs and budget accordingly. To arrange for a set-up, call 973-408-3680 or Marc Gordon at 973-

408-3308 to discuss what your event is and how to set it up. All work requests will be submitted to Facilities by HCH.

Events will be charged a flat per-item rate as per the schedule listed below for all materials in house. Larger events might require the rental of additional tables, chairs, etc. This cost includes both setting up and breaking down an event.

Each event has a beginning credit of $50 to be applied to the final set up costs.

Other things to consider:

1.

Overtime Costs: Overtime is still charged as 1.5 times what the regular cost would be.

2.

Trade Request Costs: Trade Requests such as electrical, custodial and carpentry will still be charged on an hourly basis plus materials if appropriate.

3.

Custodial/Public Safety Costs: Larger events may require additional custodial or Public

Safety support. For costs associated with custodial support, check with HCH. For costs associated with traffic and safety support, check with Public Safety (973-408-3379).

4.

AV/IT Costs: Contact MRC (973-408-3342) for all AV/IT needs. There are additional charges for use of this equipment.

5.

Food Costs: If you are having a catered event, you must contact Aramark Catering for your food and linen needs and HCH for your table and set up needs. Aramark does not provide food tables.
