Comprehensive Articulation and Phonological Processing Assessment using the GFTA-3 and KLPA-3 Abstract: The new Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation-3rd Ed. (GFTA-3) and the Khan-Lewis Phonological Process Analysis-3rd Ed. (KLPA-3) are measures that provide speechlanguage pathologists (SLPs) with accurate information needed to diagnose speech sound disorders in the area of articulation and phonological processes. The measures also assist SLPs in planning intervention for a diverse population. Used in tandem, the GFTA-3 and KLPA-3 form a system of research-based articulation and phonological processes assessment that is both comprehensive and easy-toadminister. During this seminar the presenter will outline a method for the assessment of articulation and phonological processes using the long trusted GFTA and KLPA system. Key changes and relevant development research for the GFTA-3 and KLPA-3 assessments will be reviewed. Also, participants will get a glimpse into the future of assessment for SLPs by learning how both measures are administered in Q-interactive.
