Note: Robert Sims has emailed me that William W. Sims was a carpenter who worked on some of the
fine ante bellum homes of the Greene Co., AL area, some of which still stand. The reason he is listed
on the 1850 and 1860 censuses in Greene Co. and also the 1860 Tuscaloosa Co., AL census, is because
he was living temporarily in Greene Co. near the project on which he was working.
