NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL Bath and North East Somerset Council (Public Footpaths CL17/20, CL17/21, CL17/17 and CL17/18 at Church Farm, Publow) Public Path Diversion Order 2015 On 14th October 2015, Bath and North East Somerset Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the full width of;1. that section of Public Footpath CL17/20 commencing from grid reference ST 6261 6408 (Point A on Order Map 1) and continuing in a generally north westerly direction through a pastoral field and driveway of Church Farm for approximately 179 metres to grid reference ST 6256 6424 (Point B on Order Map 1) and that section of Public Footpath CL17/21 commencing from grid reference ST 6265 6418 (Point C on Order Map 1) and continuing in a generally south westerly direction across a grassy field and yard of Church Farm for approximately 66 metres to grid reference ST 6259 6415 (Point D on Order Map 1 to a line running from a junction Public Footpath CL17/20 at grid reference ST 6266 6409 (Point G on Order Map 1) and continuing in a generally northerly direction across a pastoral field and across a timber bridge over the River Chew for approximately 90 metres to grid reference ST 6265 6418 (Point C on Order Map 1) and continuing in a generally north westerly direction across a pastoral field for approximately 117 metres to grid reference ST 6256 6424 (Point B on Order Map 1), as shown on the order map; 2. that section of Public Footpath CL17/20 commencing from grid reference ST 6254 6426 (Point E on Order Map 1) and continuing in a generally north westerly direction across the driveway of Church Farm for approximately 21 metres to grid reference ST 6253 6428 (Point F on Order Map 1) to a line running from grid reference ST 6254 6426 (Point E on Order Map 1) and continuing in a generally north westerly direction off a driveway for approximately 10 metres to grid reference ST 6254 6427 (Point H on Order Map 1) and continuing in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 13 metres to meet back with Public Footpath CL17/20 at grid reference ST 6253 6428 (Point F on Order Map 1); 3. that section of Public Footpath CL17/18 commencing from grid reference ST 6263 6408 (Point I on Order Map 2) and continuing in a generally south easterly direction through pastoral fields for approximately 233 metres to grid reference ST 6280 6394 (Point J on Order Map 2) and continuing in a general south easterly direction across a pond for approximately 103 metres to grid reference ST 6289 6389 (Point K on Order Map 2) to a line running from grid reference ST 6263 6408 (Point I on Order Map 2) and continuing in a generally south easterly direction across pastoral fields for approximately 234 metres to grid reference ST 6281 6395 (Point N on Order Map 2) before continuing in a generally south easterly direction around a pond for approximately 48 metres to a junction with Public Footpath CL17/17 at grid reference ST 6286 6393 (Point M on Order Map 2) and continuing in a generally south easterly direction around the pond and through a small wooded area for approximately 58 metres to grid reference ST 6289 6389 (Point K on Order Map 2), as shown on the order map; 4. that section of Public Footpath CL17/17 commencing from grid reference ST 6281 6387 (Point L on Order Map 2) and continuing in a generally north easterly direction across a pond for approximately 81 metres to grid reference ST 6286 6393 (Point M on Order Map 2) to a line running from grid reference ST 6281 6387 (Point L on Order Map 2) and continuing in a generally northerly direction around the pond for approximately 70 metres to grid reference ST 6280 6394 (Point J on Order Map 2) and continuing in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 18 metres to grid reference ST 6281 6395 (Point N on Order Map 2), as shown on the order map; 5. that section of Public Footpath CL17/21 commencing from grid reference ST 6314 6423 (Point O on Order Map 3) and continuing in a generally south westerly direction across a grassy field for approximately 161 metres to grid reference ST 6298 6419 (Point P on Order Map 3) before continuing in a generally westerly direction for approximately 123 metres to grid reference ST 6286 6419 (Point Q on Order Map 3) to a line running from grid reference ST 6314 6423 (Point O on Order Map 3) and continuing in a generally south westerly direction across a grassy field for approximately 137 metres to grid reference ST 6301 6420 (Point R on Order Map 3), continuing in a generally westerly direction for approximately 142 metres to grid reference ST 6286 6419 (Point Q on Order Map 3), as shown on the order map. The order came into force on 14th October 2015 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the date of this notice, make an application to the High Court.
