Title : Unusual Modes of Crystal Growth by Colloidal Methods

Abstract : This talk will start with a general summary of the research directions in our lab. Then, I will focus on the mechanisms of three different systems: (a) the growth of single-crystalline organic domain on poly-crystalline gold seeds; (b) the continuously tuning of Au-Ag interfacial energy by embedding ligand inside metal layers; and (c) the coating of Pd on Au-Ag alloy nanowires that results in metal double helices.
