Bachelor of Arts COMMUNITY STUDIES 4-YEAR MAJORS & HONOURS PROGRAMS (120 credits) (3-year programs on other side) When planning a future career, students need to consider whether the profession and any further educational programs they plan to enter require a three or four-year degree. A four-year BACS degree is designed to expand student options for those who plan to continue studies in Master level graduate programs or professional schools or who wish to gain additional knowledge in the disciplines (subjects) they choose to study before starting a career. All 4-year BACS Majors and Honours Programs require the Community Studies core. This Music Major is like no other music program in Canada. The program focuses on traditional and tradition-based popular music, with particular emphasis on local musical traditions (especially Celtic and Acadian music) and is designed for students who have a passion for music who want to work in the multi-billion dollar global music industry. BACS Sport & Human Kinetics –turn your passion for physical activity into a career! Students can focus on Sport & Human Kinetics (SPHK) courses in their Academic Field. Study how SPHK affects individuals and communities, as well as gain skills and experience in healthy lifestyles, physical activity, outdoor leadership and sport. BACS BUSINESS Students can study business in the BACS degree. Additionally, if you wish to complete both the BACS degree and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, you can do so over 4 years. At the end of three successful years, students will receive a BACS degree with an Academic Field in Business and after one additional year, you can complete the BBA degree. Specific core BBA courses are required throughout these years. Bachelor of Science COMMUNITY STUDIES BScCS This unique degree program combines the core Community Studies courses with science courses!
