OBJECTIVE #3 – EXERCISE THE ABILITY TO QUICKLY PROCESS REQUESTS FOR RESOURCE SUPPORT DURING A SERIOUS INCIDENT, BY STANDING UP THE EOC AT THE COLLEGE *Conduct functional exercises in EOC operations jointly with the city, medical center, or any other entities who have established plans to stand-up EOC during crisis *Create a resource list of PWSCC employees who have specific relevant emergency training in topics such as amateur radio, first aid, fire suppression, etc. and add to phone list *Consider creating a student resource list or club for those who have specific relevant emergency training *Notes items identified on 2013 Alaska Shield After Action Report/Improvement Plan OBJETCIVE #4 – COORDINATE A HOUSING EVACUATION AND SUBSEQUENT SHELTER OPERATIONS *Determine more distant Emergency Assembly Area options, should the housing or campus area be a danger zone Add assembly areas to maps Acquire MOAs with local entities *Continue education efforts to ensure residents take evacuation alarms seriously, impose sanctions on violators *Identify transportation options in the community, should resident students need to be relocated and add resources to Communication Plan *Enhance shelter registration forms to include medical and psychiatric history questionnaire Assemble into modules, making the supplies quick and easy to transport *Identify options for alternate lighting/heat should shelter utilities fail Procure generator *Develop a cache of emergency food supplies *Enhance the Shelter Operations Plan to ensure that evacuees arriving in wheelchairs are using a building entrance at street level *Print list of shelter rules, suitable for posting on shelter walls *Create a sign-in and sign-out accountability log sheet for evacuees, to include paid and volunteer workers *Develop a security plan for shelter operations Create and distribute Go Bags with phone #s, flashlight, Action Plan Flip Chart, hand held radio, basic first aid.
