sponsor of the 19th Annual Gentlemen’s Gourmet: A Tribute to The Harlem Renaissance hosted
by the North County African American Women’s Association (NCAAWA.)
The Gentlemen’s Gourmet will be held at St. Margaret Parish, 3400 Oceanside Blvd., in
Oceanside, CA on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Guests at this event will enjoy an array of food
samples from both professional and amateur chefs. The event will highlight the historical
contributions to music, writing, and art during this period in our history.
The fundraiser will benefit the education and outreach work by NCAAWA, a non-profit
organization that was established in 1995 to support the education of African American women
in North County. Since then, we have helped hundreds of women receive career, vocational and
technical education, in addition to life skills and health awareness. We have been assisting
women reentering the workforce and graduating seniors achieve their educational goals through
our fundraising efforts. To date, we have presented $136,000 in scholarships. Our work has
enabled hundreds of women lead healthy, fulfilling and self-sufficient lives. NCAAWA is proud of
its 20 years of making a difference in the lives of women and girls in San Diego North County.
