I.
Introduction of Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games
The Youth Olympic Games are an elite sporting event for young
people from all over the world. An event distinct from other
youth sports events, as they also integrate a unique Culture and
Education Programme (CEP), based around five main themes:
Olympism,
Social
Responsibility,
Skills
Development,
Expression and Well-being and Healthy Lifestyles.

On the 10th of February 2010, the 122nd IOC session at
Vancouver announced Nanjing as the host city of the Second
Summer Youth Olympic Games.
The Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games will represent a
happy and healthy platform for the world’s young people. This
grand stage will be backed by both organizations and
volunteers. The YOG also focuses on interconnection through

the use of social media to achieve an interactive link between
athletes, audiences, the youth of the world and the sporting
world. All the participants will be connected through the
Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect. They
will experience cultural diversity, develop a healthy lifestyle
and promote the sustainable development of our world.
Nanjing 2014 aims to: Boost self-understanding, active
participation and creativity in young people both in the sports
arena and in everyday life; Promote understanding of other
cultures, build up friendship, and help young people to
appreciate responsibility in a mature way; Advocate fair
competition and respect for the rules; Build awareness of a
healthy lifestyle and protection of the environment; Boost
self-confidence of young people.
II. Introduction of Ticketing

The slogan of the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games is
“Share the Games, Share our Dreams”.According to latest
version of Competition Schedule, there are approximately
710,000
tickets
for
216
available
sessions,
including
Opening/Closing Ceremonies and Competitions. The details as
follows:
1. Tickets for Opening/Closing Ceremonies
There are 30,000 tickets for Opening Ceremony and 30,000
tickets for Closing Ceremony.Tickets for opening/closing
ceremony are divided into 4 classes. Price of opening and
closing ceremony ranges from ￥600 to ￥3200 and ￥500
to ￥2800 and the lowest price tickets are 20% of available
tickets.

2. Competition general tickets
There are three categories of A,B,C for Competition
general tickets, Tickets for Competition are generally
cheap with the price set from ￥30 to ￥200， except for
final
games
for
some
high-demand
events.ThecompetitionsforCyclingRoadraceandtimetrial,
MountainBike,
Triathlon,Rowing,Canoe-kayak,andAthletics8*100relaywel
comespectatorstothesitetowatchtheeventswithoutaneedto
obtainaticket.

3. Competition Student ticket
Student tickets are released forcurrently enrolled students
from elementary school to college, excluding adult
education, the price is RMB ￥20 for each session, and
only one student ticket could be purchased with one
student ID for one session.

4. Competition Parent-child package
NYOGOC designed parent-child package for two (The
mode of one minor carry one guardian (1+1)) and
parent-child package for three (The mode of one minor
carry two guardian (1+2)) for public to choose for all
competition events. Mode 1+1 includes two tickets,
minimum total price for preliminary is RMB 40, minimum
total price for finals is RMB 110; Mode 1+2 includes three
tickets, minimum total price for preliminary is RMB 60,
minimum total price for finals is RMB 165, the mode could
be one minor with two guardian or two minors with one
guardian enter in the venue together and sit between each

others.

5. Competition Single through ticket
Competition Single through ticket is designed for single
sports fans and sports clubs, including each tickets for
each session of one sports with same price category, and
the price is the 80% sum price of all the tickets.

- Students that are 6-13years of age can purchase a Student Ticket but must be
accompanied by a guardian, or students under 14 years of age are encouraged to
purchase Family Packages to be used with their parent(s) or guardian.
- Ticket Holders under the age of fourteen (14) can only attend a session by being
accompanied by an adult and who would be responsible for them to watch the youth
Olympic Games.

1. Official Ticketing Website
Login Nanjing 2014 YOG official
website(http://www.nanjing2014.org), and click “tickets” channel
to purchase tickets. Tickets sales of Opening/Closing
Ceremonies, Competition Parent-child package, Student ticket,
Single Through package and general tickets are available on
the website. The Links are as follows:

2. Urban Ticket Outlets
Urban ticket outlets sell Opening/Closing Ceremonies tickets
and Competition general tickets. Nanjing as the host city of
YOG, is the hub center of international guests and tourists, the
ticket outlets set by NYOGOC cover 11 districts in Nanjing, to
provide convenience to public purchase tickets at anywhere.
Inside Jiangsu Province, NYOGOC set up urban ticket outlets at
other cities, and in national wide, NYOGOC set up ticket outlets

at 7 main cities which are Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen,
Guangzhou, Xi’an, Shenyang and Hangzhou.
3. Venue Ticket Booth
Venue ticket booths sell Competition general tickets. Ticket
booths will be opened at Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre,
Wutaishan Sports Centre and Longjiang Sports Gymnasium, to
provide ticket purchase service for the public who come to
Nanjing.During the games, ticket booths will be opened at all
other venues, to meet ticket purchase meet of public.
V. Tickets Pick-up
1. Through official website
Public who purchase tickets online can obtain tickets in two
ways: mail and pick up.
i. Opening/Closing Ceremonies: NYOGOC provides ticket
mail service and require extra fees; and also public can pick
up tickets at the pick-up point decided when purchase with
valid ID.
ii. Competition: NYOGOC provides ticket mail service and
require extra fees; and also public can pick up tickets at
pick-up point assigned by NYOGOC with pick-up code.
Public outside Nanjing can pick up tickets at the points in

Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xi’an and
Shenyang, public of Nanjing can choose points set by Post
Office to pick up tickets, or go to Nanjing Olympic Sports
Centre, Wutaishan Sports Centre and Longjiang Sports
Gymnasium venue ticket booths to pick up tickets. During
the games, when all venue ticket booths be opened, public
can pick up tickets at all venue ticket booths. (please see the
appendix for details).
NYOGOC will open other cities’ pick-up points in Jiangsu
one by one. ( please see the announcement on official

2. Through ticket outlets
i. Opening/Closing Ceremonies: public can pick up tickets at
the outlets where purchase the tickets when received the
pick-up notice.
ii. Competition: public can get the tickets which will be
printed on site at the ticket outlets.
