Engineering for the Petroleum& Process Industries (Enppi) was established on January 15th, 1978.
Enppi provides full-integrated engineering, procurement, construction supervision and project
management services for the petroleum, petrochemicals, power and other related industries.
Mechanical Engineer - Static Equipment, from January 2011 till present
I am specialized in Mechanical Design and Engineering of Pressure Retaining Equipment such
as Pressure Vessels, Towers, Spheres, Reactors, Heat Exchangers (shell and tube, double
pipe, spiral and plate & frame) and Spheroid / Cylindrical Storage Tanks.
I have been deeply involved in using ASME, TEMA and API codes/standards related to the
design, manufacturing and testing of these equipment.
















Duties and Responsibilities:
Study tender documents, issue man-hours estimate and detailed scope of work.
Provide input information to system engineer during preparation of project equipment list.
Issue mechanical data sheets of vertical/ horizontal pressure vessels, towers, spheres and tanks
Issue tender documents for quotation.
Issue general and commodity specification.
Prepare and coordinate the material requisitions (MRQ / MRP) for horizontal and vertical pressure
vessels and tanks, document requirement forms ... etc.
Review received offersfrom international bidders and insure that offers are complying with the
applicable code (ASME, TEMA and API) and specification through technical clarifications cycle.
Issue tender documents for purchase.
Issue supplier quality surveillance datasheets to show the required inspection and testing for static
equipment to comply with the applicable code and standard.
Review mechanical calculations and fabrication drawings received from suppliers for equipmentby
performing ASME code mechanical calculation for pressure vessels, towers, exchangers and
spheres as well as performing API mechanical calculation for storage tanks and spheroids using
computer program.
Review fabrication drawings and insure that these documents are in complying with the applicable
code and standard.
Stress analysis using computerized Finite Element Method for pressure vessels, air coolers,
spheres, tanks including modeling, mesh refinement, evaluation according to applicable code
requirements.The analysis comes as evaluation of structural integrity of nozzle to shell junction,
sphere leg to shell junction, saddle to shell junction, cone to cylinder shell junction.
Perform computerized CFD analysis.
Witness the manufacturing process in supplier's workshops and resolves technical problems
arising during fabrication for vertical/ horizontal pressure vessels, towers, spheres, spheroids and
tanks.
Witness erection of vertical, horizontal pressure vessels/ towers, tower internals,spheres,
spheroids and atmospheric tanks if loaned to construction supervision team.
Implement Company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems
Requirements in all project phases.
Junior Mechanical Engineer - Static Equipment, from January 2008 to December 2010

Duties and Responsibilities:



From March, 2007 till May, 2007 (peroid of three months): join Enppi Academy training program
and I attended engineering courses related to the static and rotating equipment, material selction
and corrosion cotrol, piping, process and P&ID.
From june, 2007 till the end of June, 2007 (peroid of one month): participate in reviewing
fabrication drawings and mechanical calculations for pressure vessels submitted by suppliers to
ensure that all engineering/ design requirements requested before had been incorporated .
From july, 2007 till Decmber, 2007 (peroid of six months): loan to the site team to work as
construction supervisor in order to expand my engineering knowledge in petrochemical plants
mechanical works espcially static equipment.
 Responsible for closing out all mechanical completion for towers, tower internals, reactors,
tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, cooling towers and handover to the commissioning team .
 Responsible to resolve/ coordinate all outstanding construction or engineering issues between
the Licensor, lead contractor, sub-contractors and client engineering team.
