2014 Partnership Opportunities
Central Indiana animal shelters and rescue groups are proud to announce that we will be
joining forces to host two Mega Adoption Events in 2014. The mega adoption event
concept centers on agencies combining their resources to host a mega life-saving event
and to increase awareness on the importance of adopting your next pet!
The Indy Mega Adoption Event: An Initiative of the “Love Me, Fix Me” Campaign is
being modeled after similar events
held all over the country. Cities
comparable in size to Indianapolis
have hosted Mega Adoption events
which have resulted in nearly 10,000
attendees and over 1,000 homeless
dogs and cats adopted in a single
event. We are honored to have the
support of these groups as we work
to make Indianapolis a community
where no adoptable animal is
euthanized.
In order to make this event mega
successful and save as many lives as
possible we will need the help of sponsors and supporters like you.

Indy Mega Adoption Event: Initiative of the “Love Me, Fix Me” Campaign
Details
WHO: We will have at least 750 animals at the fairgrounds and available for adoption for
the weekend. Animals will be coming from several area groups and shelters including but not
limited to: FACE, IACC, Southside Animal Shelter, Humane Society for Hamilton County,
Misty Eyes, Animal Outreach Shelby County, Paws Hancock, Humane Society Johnson County,
and Hendricks County Humane Society.
WHAT:
All dogs and cats will be adopted for $30, they will be spayed or neutered,
microchipped, and have all age appropriate vaccines.
WHEN: June 28th-29th and October 11-12th from 10am to 8pm
WHERE: Indiana State Fairgrounds, South Pavilion
WHY: Our city has remarkable rescue groups and shelters doing amazing things each day.
Imagine how much more we could do if we all work together to achieve our common goal. By
working together we will adopt out animals from shelters and rescue groups freeing up spaces so
that the rescues can pull from the high kill shelters and the high kill shelters don’t have to
euthanize for time or space. Together we can make Indianapolis a city where no healthy
adoptable animal is euthanized.
HOW: We will accomplish this by pooling all of our resources and working together to
make sure that each group involved gets the biggest return on their investment, whether it be
their time or money. We are partnering with WRTV, WTTS, PetSmart Stores, PetSmart
Charities, Indiana State Fairgrounds and the Nina Mason Pulliam Trust to advertise the event
(and recognize sponsors). Marketing for the event will include social media mentions by
WRTV, window clings at all local PetSmart stores, community calendars, event flyers,
newspaper ads, cross promoting at the fairgrounds, news segments, promos on WRTV, and of
course social media mentions by the participating groups. Starting June 1st the event will start
being promoted with its own Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts which will feed directly
in to the event website.
