They will develop basic English vocabulary, learn how to spell and practice Phonemic awareness and basic consonant and vowel sounds. The course includes basic reading, writing, grammar, and sentence structure. Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the required course work, the students will be able to: ● respond to questions spoken in English ● write simple sentences about: 1. present and past situations and future plans 2. abilities, obligations, permission, and needs ● Write and present short speeches ● Perform a song in English Cell Phone Policy: No cell phone activity of any kind, including text messaging, while class is in session.
