QA noticed that LPF placement was occurring prior to shaping the FF slope.
QA notified QC/PVDC that survey layout the FF design toe and that the
contractor trim the FF slope to the neat lines. Contractor and survey
corrected the issue as per our recommendations.

LA Core – Contractor was cleaning foundation using hand tools, air and an
excavator. Contractor was advised to prevent slope changes that does not
meet specification. Photo 4
LA DS – Contractor continued cleaning foundation using hand tools and
backhoe. Further downstream the contractor requested a foundation approval
to place the CF and TRF capping on the outlet of the HMCS. The foundation

was approved to place additional material. Slush grout and dental concrete
was placed to meet foundation requirements.
