ARE YOU A CFA SCHOLAR ATHLETE? A Scholar Athlete is an individual who participates in one or more organized sport, while also achieving academic success. Those eligible for Scholar Athlete recognition will receive a CFA Scholar Athlete patch, to be worn on their team uniform throughout the season and will be recognized during Championship Day opening ceremonies. All Scholar Athletes will be presented with a Scholar Athlete certificate at the opening ceremonies. Scholar Athletes eligible for the Academic Excellence award will also receive an Academic Excellence medal. SCHOLAR ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY Player MUST submit their most current copy of a DISTRICT APPROVED report card or progress report dated within the last 6 months. You do have access to your child’s school record. If you do not have a copy of your child’s report card, please request a copy from your child’s school administration office. 1rst – 5th Grade Players in grades 1-5 are eligible for Scholar Athlete recognition if they meet the following criteria: Proficient / Advanced in all academic areas O or S marks in citizenship / work habits Grades submitted must be issued within the last 6 months Middle School / High School Players in Middle School and High School are eligible for Scholar Athlete recognition if they meet the following criteria: 3.5 GPA or Higher No D’s, F’s or U’s Grades submitted must be issued within the last 6 months ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD Players who achieve a 4.0 GPA or higher will be recognized for Academic Excellence on Championship Day.
