Thank you for your interest in NTSOC CNA Training Program Nursing & Therapy Services of Colorado (NTSOC) currently holds an 85% passing rate in El Paso County! And to our knowledge, is the only program that includes the $123 state examination fee in the tuition cost. NTSOC is a regional testing center, so you will take your state examination in the same classroom you trained in! Classes are eighty hours monthly and we offer day and evening hours. Orientation is offered every Wednesday starting at 2:30 pm and may last up to one hour. Information on orientation, class dates/times, and costs are listed below. 2014 NTSOC Nurse Aide Program dates: September class starts: September 2 and is completed September 26 (No classes on Monday, September 1. Day class will be attending classes on Friday, September 5. No change in start or end times for day class. Evening class will begin at 4:45pm from September 2September 5. ) October class starts: September 29 and is completed October 24 November class starts: October 27 and is completed November 21 December class starts: November 24 and is completed December 19 (No classes on Thursday, November 27 or Friday, November 28. Day class will be attending classes on Friday, December 5. No change in start or end times for day class. Evening class will begin at 4:45 on November 24, 25, and 26 AND December 1- December 5. ) Enrollment and Orientation Please respond via e-mail with the date you will be attending orientation and for which class (February, March, April, etc.) you would like to enroll into. Please also indicate whether you are interested in day or evening classes. What to bring to orientation: Proof of current enrollment in high school, proof of graduation (diploma and college transcripts are acceptable), or GED. Valid driver's license or other state or federal issued picture ID Birth certificate (if you are under 18 years of age) $100 in the form of cash, check, or credit card to assure placement in class $50 in the form of cash, check, or credit card to obtain the textbook before class starts Proof of completion/results for the two-step TB (PPD) test and/or proof of flu shot for the current season/year You do not need to have your TB test or Flu shot prior to orientation. (A two-step TB test is two separate tests. One the first week of class or before class starts, have that test read and the clinic will provide you with a result form. 7 days later, you will repeat the test and have it read. If you choose to purchase the book, have marked in the book, or return the book in poor condition, the cost is an additional $50. If you are interested in receiving the book at orientation in order to start reading the required chapters before class starts, an additional $50 deposit along with the $100 deposit is required at orientation. Otherwise; the books will be given out on the first day of class. Two test results are due by the end of the second week of classes. Please ask if you have questions as there are NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! You may obtain your (TB) test and Flu shot at the health department, Urgent Care Clinics, hospital, your physician’s office, etc. You can also go to “ANYLABTESTNOW!” They offer the TB test for $19 x2 ($38 total) and $20 for a flu shot if you confirm you are student at NTSOC. “ANYLABTESTNOW!” 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday- Friday, and Saturday 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. (Hours may at times differ during holidays. The test date will be scheduled by Pearson Vue, usually three to four weeks following course completion. This gives time for Pearson Vue to process all applications and communicate with candidates regarding any application deficiencies that need correction and/or to notify candidates of testing date. NTSOC will send the application, proof of training and the required fee for the initial testing to Pearson Vue. Once applications are mailed to Pearson Vue (immediately following course completion), NTSOC is not involved in the process of scheduling candidates.
