Ed Larsen gave an overview of the NFPA NEC proposal system. Those wishing to submit Public Input (formerly Proposals)
for the next revision are encouraged to use the online submission process, which makes it much easier to comply with the
requirement to mark-up existing text. The Public Input closing date is 11/7/2014 for online submissions and 10/3/2014 for
paper submissions. For addition information on the new process, refer to this training video, the embedded presentation,
and the NFPA 70 next edition webpage.

The IEEE Standards Correlating Committee (SCC) 18 is still looking for representation on some Code Making Panels (CMPs).
Contact Ed Larsen at ed.larsen@ieee.org if you would like additional information, to get involved in SCC 18, or to become a
candidate for a CMP position.
Eight public inputs were presented during the meeting. Following discussion and suggestions to improve proposals,
members voted to approve five of the proposals for consideration of IEEE support. Results are summarized in Table 1. All
proposals that received Codes & Regs Subcommittee support will be presented for consideration at the next PCIC Executive
Subcommittee meeting.
The next meeting will be held October 4, 2014 at PCIC in Houston, TX.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:16 pm.
