You first met Dr Hugh through your wife, Aimee and you both
travel through time with him. You can’t understand why The Doctor
doesn’t use time travel to put things right in History.
You have decided to prevent the outbreak of the First World War
by saving Archduke Franz Ferdinand from being assassinated in
Sarajevo on 28th June 1914.
You first met Dr Hugh when you were a child and he reappeared in
your life as you prepared to get married to Ruari. You both travel
through time with The Doctor.
You aren’t into History, but you do know how appalling the First
World War was so, once you understand that Ruari is trying to
prevent it happening, you sympathise with him.

Gavrilo Princip*
Doctor Hugh ***
You are a 19 year old Serbian student who belongs to the Black
Hand Gang. You are very nationalistic and you would do anything to
undermine Austria-Hungary. You and six friends have come to
Sarajevo in Bosnia to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
So far you have thrown bombs at him and missed. You had almost
given up and gone for a sandwich in Schiller’s Cafe when the
Archduke’s car does a three point turn directly in front of you.
In real life, you shoot him in the throat and Sophie, his wife in the
stomach and kill them both. This event sparks off the First World
War. In this script, you don’t manage to kill either of them.
You are travelling through space and time with Aimee and Ruari
when he secretly alters the co-ordinates to land the time machine
in Sarajevo in Bosnia on 28th June 1914.
Ruari has decided to prevent the outbreak of the First World
War by saving Archduke Franz Ferdinand from being
assassinated. You know that it is against intergalactic law to
interfere in a fixed point in time and that Ruari’s actions mean he
will be tried in front of the Judges of the Shadow Counsell. You
hire the best Addlepose Defence Lawyer and set about explaining
the many origins of the First World War to get Ruari off the
hook.
