ACSM Northwest Annual Meeting 2014 Abstract Submission Form Call for Abstracts, Due Date: January 31st, 2014 Abstracts are to be submitted by email and must contain the following information: 1. Category & Student Contact info: Submit within the body of your email (see below) 2. Abstract Submission Form: Submit as an attachment to your email. Follow instructions on Page 2. Save only your completed form on Page 2. Save the file with the following title: YourLastNameFirstInitial.ACSMNW.2014.docx (i.e., MaddalozzoG.ACSMNW.2014). 3. For students: The primary author and not the students’ major advisor must submit Abstract. Submit the above to Gianni F. Maddalozzo, Ph.D., FACSM: gianni.maddalozzo@oregonstate.edu. Submissions that do not follow the guidelines outlined above will be returned to the student for revision and must be resubmitted in proper format by the deadline to be considered for review. 1. CATEGORY AND STUDENT CONTACT Please be sure to specify clearly in your E-mail which category you are in, based on your status when the research was completed. If you have started a graduate program or become a professional but the research in the abstract was done at a lower level it should be judged as such. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM Directions: Please submit two versions of your abstract within a singular electronic file. Version 1 should follow guidelines specified for abstract submission for the ACSMNW conference (see sample abstract). Version 2 should contain the tile and body of your abstracts. Author’s names and affiliations must be omitted. Type abstract in the space provided in “Times New Roman”, 10 pitch, title of the abstract is to be bolded, and all caps, the first author is to be bolded and mix caps. See the sample abstract (in PDF). The abstract needs to stay in this template due to the spacing in the program. Submissions that do not conform to the proper format will be returned to the student for reformatting and will only be considered for review if resubmitted with proper formatting by the deadline.
