Agenda Items
The HARB recommends approval for the following items:
1. A request by Opal Mason for a Certificate of Appropriateness at 61 West Pomfret Street.
The applicant proposes to remove the metal, standing seam roof and replace with the
same profile metal, standing seam roof.
2. A request by Nancy and Robert Weaver for a Certificate of Appropriateness at 172 East
High Street. The applicant proposes to repair/replace deteriorated wooden boards with
new wooden boards or composite material to replicate wood in the front hatchway doors
leading to the cellar.
3. A request by Stephen Tiley for a Certificate of Appropriateness at 105 North East Street.
The applicant proposes to replace the wooden, nine lite middle front entrance door on the
North East Street side of the house with a nine lite wooden door and the left side,
wooden, six panel front entrance door with a wooden, six panel door.
4. A request by David Bompane for a Certificate of Appropriateness at 111 South Bedford
Street. The applicant proposes to replace the metal, standing seam roof with the same
profile Drexel Metals DMC 175S standing seam roof system and flashings.
5. A request by Jay Ewideh for a Certificate of Appropriateness at 39 West Pomfret Street.
The applicant proposes to install two, 2’ by 3’ projecting signs on each side of the front
porch that will state “Buzz Express Smokes, Snacks and More”. The signs will be made
of 1/2” thick Komacel with yellow lettering on a black background.
6. A request by Caprice Properties for a Certificate of Appropriateness at 154-156 West
Louther Street. The applicant proposes to remove the iron fire escape, cement block wall
and wooden stairs in the rear and replace with a pressure treated second floor deck with
wooden stairs to the second and third floor entrances.
7. A request by the Borough of Carlisle for a Certificate of Appropriateness at 53 West
South Street. The applicant proposes to install two porch roofs on the east and west
entrances to Borough Hall. Materials used will be cementitious fiberboard, azek, pre cast
composite columns and eco-star slate shingles.
