SCIENCE PROJECT: INSIDE A PLANT CELL
Assignment:
Construct a three-dimensional model of a PLANT cell. Identify the parts with labels or a key.
Requirements:
 Model must be 3-D (ie,. any flat drawings will lose 20 points---see scoring chart below)
 Model must be creative and neatly done.
 You must label your model as PLANT CELL.
 The following parts (organelles) of the cell must be correctly identified:
PLANT CELL: rectangular in shape, cell wall, cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, several

chloroplasts, mitochondria, one large vacuole and a few smaller ones
 Create a key showing the cell parts and the job or function of each cell part.
 This signed paper must be returned with the project. Teacher will use the portion below to score your
project.

Suggestions: Use your imagination! Just about anything you have around the house can become a
model of a cell. Please do not feel that you must spend money to complete your project. BE CREATIVE!
