Leadership in the Movies Presentation
Leadership is the process of inspiring others to work hard to accomplish important tasks. A Leader is
a person who influences a group of people towards the achievement of a goal.
The Movies and Television mimic real life and they often have a great impact and influence on
business.
Your assignment is to look at a movie or television program that can help you teach the class
leadership; how to inspire, earn loyalty and respect, turn crises into triumph, and become a successful
member of a community.
1. Select a movie / television show that has a strong leader as a main character. Get it approved
by the teacher. Make sure it is PG13.
2. Watch the movie / television show so you are familiar with it
3. Give the class a brief summary about the movie/television show.
4. Explain how he/she exemplifies the role of a leader…
a. What are his/her leadership characteristics/traits/qualities/behaviours
b. What is his/her Leadership Style?
c. What is his/her vision or/ mission?
d. How he/she works with individuals to improve performance?
e. How she/he motivates to lead people to success?
f. How he/she made a positive/negative change in the people being lead?
5. Show clips from the movie/ television show to prove each of the points you are making above.
6. Presented using visual presentation software (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.). Copy on your H Drive.

Appropriate animations/ graphics – shoot for 1 on each slide

Legible style font & Size of font – smallest should be 20
Less than 4 clear points per slide (not paragraphs of information)
Business-like- title page, titles on all slides, footer on all slides, spacing, use of bullets , KISS
Spelling/grammar/ sentence structure and flow
Multiple sources – Bibliography on final slide
