GSS SOCCER 07/06/2015 2015 GSS Soccer Registration Form The GSS soccer is back due to popular demand. This event is open to current and recently graduated (Graduated as of winter 2015) grad students. Get a team of graduate students and faculty from your department and bring them out to have fun in the GSS soccer tournament. LOGISTICS: Date: Sunday, June 07, 2015 Time: 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM – FREE Food between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM Award: Champion and Runner up teams will be awarded with $100 and $50 gift cards respectively. The Champion’s team names would also be engraved on the GSS Soccer trophy. Location: Main turf soccer field at the St. Denis Stadium. Please fill out the form available on the GSS website (http://www1.uwindsor.ca/gss/gssactivities-and-events) and email it to: vpxgss@uwindsor.ca by Wednesday May 27, 2015. A scanned copy of student card of each player MUST be submitted along registration from. Student ID card would be checked before the event while registering at the day of event. So, all registered player are requested to bring along their student ID card. No CHANGE in the team would be allowed after Wednesday, June 03, 2015. Team Name: Capitan’s Name: Team Member Capitan’s Contact #: Cell Capitan’s Email: Email GSS SOCCER 07/06/2015 RULES Captains should register the team at 8:00 AM at registration desk on the day of event. If you fail to register your team by 8.30 AM on event date, your team would be disqualified. Minimum of six (including captain) with max of two substitutes. Minimum of one female player on the field at all times. Players can not be in more than one team. Two ten-minute halves will be played, with a five minute half-time break. Absolutely no slide tackles. No physical contact. No profanity. This will result in an immediate ejection base on referees’ decision. Cool down Rule: If the referee feels that players are getting too aggressive and tempers are beginning to flair then he has the authority to request the players to leave the field. They may be substituted by another player but may not return until the referee feels they have recomposed themselves. Failure to obey this rule will result in immediate suspension. Six players on the field for each team (including goal keeper). All players must bring their student ID on the day of event. One undergraduate student is allowed per team. No player from outside the university is allowed. If it is found at any stage of the tournament, your team would be disqualified. No late registration would be allowed. No last minute changes to a team are allowed. If some player registered is not attending, you have to play a player or two short. Last date of player change is June 03, 2015 based on the approval from VP-External Morteza Lalmazloumian.
