Students Course Designed to Serve:
This course is intended to help the students to keep up with the drills of language instructional material and get acquainted with the speaking,
writing, reading and understanding Chinese language.
Required Textbook:

Student Feedback and Grading Procedures:
60% of the grade is based on midterm and final examinations (30% each).

20% of the grade is based on the quiz at the end of each lesson.

Instructor’s Background
Ms. Pat J. Huang holds a Master degree of Education in the field of Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University, Georgia,
and a Master degree of Science in Information Technologies and Telecommunication Systems from Johns Hopkins University, Maryland. She is
known for being professional, kind, gentle yet firm, very respectful, creative and resourceful, extremely helpful to each student. She is a great
problem solver, extremely effective in her dealings with her students. She is always trying to reach out to help them succeed. She works
diligently to bring each student to a comfortable level. She has taught Chinese language for college students, students in K-12, and preschoolers
in the United States since 2005. She is also a certified Chinese language instructor by Confucius Institute at Maryland (CIM) at University of
Maryland, College Park.
