Cambridge Lectures in Neurosurgical Anatomy
21st & 22nd June 2014
Emmanuel College, Cambridge
The next edition of the Lectures is scheduled for 21st & 22nd June 2014 and I have taken the
liberty of forwarding you the details. This time we will focus on surgery of gliomas, especially
low-grade gliomas. Professor Guilherme Ribas will conduct a comprehensive review surgical
brain anatomy using his unique collection of 3D projections. The Lectures’ Guest Speaker,
Professor Lorenzo Bello, will share with us his vast experience in resection of gliomas part of
the brain, including the eloquent cortex. He has not only a great knowledge of morphological
anatomy, including imaging techniques, but has unparalleled understanding of
neurophysiology behind cortical stimulation. In various as always, our speaker will be given
plenty of time; there will be relaxed atmosphere and a great dinner in the Dining Hall of one
of the most prestigious Cambridge colleges.
Please find attached an application form, for the above Conference. Your place will be
reserved upon receipt of the completed application form and payment of the
Conference fees (the spaces are limited and the Lectures have been rather popular so
please book early). We are able to accept credit card payments, either by filling in your card
details on the attached application, or by telephone (PLEASE NOTE: we require a copy of
your completed application form before accepting your credit/debit card payment by
telephone).
The Course Dinner will take place on the evening of Saturday 21st June, and I would be
grateful if you could indicate on your application form if you plan to attend. Please also
inform me of any special dietary requirements you may have.

find useful.
We recommend you book accommodation early, as June can be a very busy time in
Cambridge with tourists and university graduation ceremonies. The website

near to the College. I also attach a further list of hotels and guesthouses in Cambridge City
Centre, and contact details for the Cambridge Tourist information Office.
