Sports and religion have an interesting relationship in America.
For some, sports are a religion, for others sports are a platform for their
religion, and still for others sports are a curious obsession in a world with
so much need. John and Marcia Mount Shoop live in all the connections
and tensions between these two institutions of American culture
everyday in their household. He is a football coach and she is an
ordained minister and theologian.
