Through the Bexar County Public Works Traffic Operations Section and the Bexar County
Sheriff’s Office Cellular on Patrol Program, participating COP neighborhoods are now invited
to purchase signs to mark their neighborhoods as being patrolled by COP volunteers. Please
complete this application and return it with your check and map to:

All signs are 24”x 30”, printed in Black and Gold Reflective. The round logo will state the
COP program for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

BEFORE County sign crew arrives to install signs. Sign crew cannot arbitrate or secure permission.
You must furnish a detailed map of the precise location of each sign you want installed. Stake the post location
if possible.
You must enclose payment with your order.
COP signs will be owned by the requesting community/organization. Once payment is received for the
requested COP signs, Bexar County Traffic Sign Shop will install the requested signs at the location (s) indicated
on the attached map. In case of theft or damage to sign, a new sign must be purchased by the community.

Dear Citizen:
The CELLULAR ON PATROL sign (24” x 30”) is manufactured by Bexar County’s Traffic Sign Shop. The
sign consists of the COP logo centered on the sign. The signs are printed in black and gold reflective.
The Traffic Sign Shop will install the sign(s) at the specific locations designated on the submitted location
map. When designating specific locations, please ensure the following:
A. the sign will not obstruct any existing traffic sign
B. the sign is not obstructed by trees, bushes, etc.
C. the sign is located on the County right-of-way
D. owner(s) of property adjacent to the sign agree to the sign’s installation by placing their signature
and address on the attached location map on page 3.
E. the precise location is staked or physically marked
Each sign costs $55.00, reflecting the material and manufacturing costs. Owned by the requesting community,
the sign and post system is installed as an independent entity and maintained by the County’s Traffic Sign
Shop at no additional cost. Please report any routine maintenance problems to the County’s Traffic Sign Shop
at 335-6700.
In case of theft or damage, a new sign must be purchased through the Cellar on Patrol Program. Please submit
your application containing the location map, check/money order and any other pertinent information to the
Cellular on Patrol Program Coordinator.
