5:00 PM. E-mailed applications will not be considered.
2. Refer to the criteria below for eligibility requirements. Refer to application process below for
a list of the supporting documents needed (recommendation letters, evidence of GPA,
transcript, resume). Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Purpose: The fundamental goal of Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority is to promote awareness of the myriad of
Asian/Asian-American cultures. Our sorority addresses this issue through leadership, outreach,
individual, community interaction, and most importantly the bonds of sisterhood. The sorority also
promotes development among its members, the students and faculty at each of the campuses we
represent. In order to achieve this goal, we partake in political, social, educational, and cultural
activities. Each effort improves our environment and instills within our sisters experiences that will
follow them long after they have graduated. Through a network of like-minded yet highly
individualistic women, the sorority lends structure and support to our sisters that share this Sigma
vision. We believe that the strength of our foundation derives from the unity of sisterhood, one that
was proudly established years ago. In addition, we work in collaboration with other Greek and nonGreek organizations to provide services for the local communities and the community at large. It is
through our various participations in these cultural events, educational workshops, and philanthropic
support that we make a difference. Nationally, regionally, and individually we strive to embody the
ideals of Sigma Psi Zeta.
Award Components: Each year Sigma Psi Zeta – Xi Charter will select 1 student to receive a nonrenewable scholarship of $200 to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Award Criteria:
1. Applicant must be a female graduating senior.
2. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
3. Applicant must plan to attend University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Fall 2013. Change in college
decision will eliminate eligibility to receive the scholarship.
Application Process: Applicants must submit the following items
1. Complete application form
2. One (1) form of a letter of recommendation
3. Professional resume (include academic honors, awards, membership activities, community
services, outside interests and extracurricular activities)
4. Copy of most recent transcript with cumulative grade point average
5. Personal essays (2)
