File: ECAB TRESPASS, VANDALISM, DISTURBANCE AND ASSAULTS Each pupil shall be required to reimburse the School Board for any actual breakage or destruction of property owned by or under the control of the School Board done by such pupil in pursuit of studies. The School Board may institute action and recover from the parents or either of them of any minor living with such parents or either of them up to $2500 for damages suffered by reason of the willful or malicious destruction of, or damage to, public property by such minor. In addition, a student who damages or destroys public property will be subject to whatever disciplinary action is deemed necessary and advisable by the school principal. Any assaults, assault and batteries, “unlawful woundings,” maimings, and homicides, other than involuntary manslaughter, committed by a student on school personnel brought to the attention of the school administrator shall be reported to the Superintendent of the school division. The Division Superintendent shall report all such incidents to the Department of Education for the purpose of recording the frequency of such incidents on forms, which shall be provided by the department.
